The medicine cabinet is 24 inches, great design on the supports. The problem is the supports are 16 inches long, so you can only catch one stud to support a very heavy cabinet. The supports easily could be 23 inches long eliminating that issue most of the time. I'm nor comfortable using the 2 inch screws and plugs in the wall to support something that heavy.

Thank you for this feedback on the Medicine Cabinet. We will let Avanity know and suggest the cleat on the back be wider. In the meantime, we suggest you use a multi-tool, open the wall and put a cross brace between the studs, then screw your cut drywall piece back on and patch it. Since it's behind the medicine cabinet, the seam will not be visible so it doesn't have to be a perfect patch.
